Thanksgiving

I can’t believe it’s already November! That usually means it’s time to start panicking – I mean preparing for the holiday season. I’ve made a list to help you plan for a stress free Thanksgiving:

Have guest staying with you?

  1. Schedule a maid service for the day before their arrival.
  2. Buy simply snacks and food to have on hand for your guests like fruit, granola bars, cheese sticks and bottled drinks.
  3. Go out for a few meals or order in.

For the big day:

  1. Ask for help with either food shopping or cooking for the big feast.
    1. Easier – make it a potluck.
    2. Even easier – order your meal from a restaurant or grocery store.
  2. Cook as much ahead as possible (most side dishes can be prepared in advance and re-heated)
  3. Use paper plates and plastic cutlery to cut down on dishes.

Most importantly, make time to enjoy your family and friends. Remember that Thanksgiving is about being thankful not stressful.
